Since the XCR is the latest? I do like my M96 Recon.

The way they have been supporting their rifles, I think they lost interest in any civilian product, which is a shame because I personally thought very highly of Robinson and his support group, who always treated me right with my M96.

You know, its hard to tell where Robarm may end up on the M96. They may find there is a M96 market to maintain and improve upon. They sold alot of 96's as compared to the XCR (so far). Many previous Robarm owners are PO'd about their unkept promises, and are unlikely to be return customers. However, for the most part, I think most of those customers will keep their M96 . Here is my thinking... the M96 is a Stoner (ok a variant, but nevertheless a Stoner), the XCR is a mixed bag of ar, ak, hk, ... type weapons jazzed up with the new handguards. Hard sell? $1500.00 price tag w/goodies. I remember the buzz around the M96. HUGE!! The XCR is a ripple comparatively. Time will tell, but I think the M96 was and is the legacy of Robarm and may prove to be the weapon to maintain in production. Just offer an M96 update in .308 and see what happens! Alex, you still listening?

I'd donate a kidney for an M96 Recon in .308 with a 1913 rail running along the top of the receiver. Make it take G3 mags and I'd donate both.
Mmmm....yummy.

if ROBARMS is still in business this time next year, I'll be amazed...they have no vepr rifles or M96's listed in stock, very few parts, haven't updated their web page since march, and closed their forum...

I wonder what happened to the M96 tooling and blueprints.
I have always wanted one in 5.56 and another in 7.62.
I guess it will always be a pipe dream.

I'm sure they still have them...I just think Alex got so "laser-focused" on the XCR that he let his other projects go down the crapper...IMO...

I guess it will always be a pipe dream.Well! there was a nice Top Feed on Gunbroker with a buy it now for $1,200.Which I think was a super good price--Of course some fool :lpunch: had to place the starting bid of around $900.So the buy it now was removed-And it ended up selling for $200 more then the "Buy It Now" price of $1,200.Still a fair price, but 200 more????-If any one wants to sell there top feed for $1,200. give me a push--my best--Frenchy :chipmunk: :zpeeonfra
