VERY NICE! I've been thinking about having a Saiga conversion done. Were the original trigger and linkage pins left in the rear of the receiver? If not how did Krebs plug-up those holes? Would like to see a close-up of the receiver if at all possible.
Thanks

put it back on!!! pul-llllease!
What kind of US internals does this beast have, and how reliable are they?
In other words, are the replacement trigger parts properly heat-treated and worth a damn?

Does it come with a scope rail on the side of the receiver?

Is the furniture Russian, or Bulgarian?

Bulgarian. The only Russian black stuff I have seen available is on the Junker air rifles.

I think you need to paint those stocks red and put a hammer and sickle on them. Oh yeah... get a KOBRA too.. LOL

Backblast, any problems with handguards melting or getting to hot?

Nope, these are Bulgarian. The US KVAR set does not have a problem either with heat.

Very nice,
I like the looks of that. How long is the sight radius on that model? What kind of accuracy (I can hear the screaming "The AK is not designed for tack-driving") do you get with it?
What is the finish on this gun? Original blueing, or does Mr. Krebs re-finish it? If so, with what? Thanks.

If you have an AK to look at, check the distance between the rear site block and the gas block. That would be the site radius. It does ok.
It get's 2" groups at 100m easily. With a scope, possibly better.
As for the finish, he refinishes the rifles and they look to be a baked teflon enamel finish.
BTW, Marc has this rifle right now. It is getting tweeked (action work and a Soviet cone brake) and another is being built. The other is a prototype and I can't wait to see it. I'll post pics when they arrive!

Is that a wear mark on the full auto hammer just on the bottom by the pivot pin??? Marks like that are usually made by the auto sear...
HHHMMMMMM interesting....
