I've heard reference to the fact that NDM-86 refers to Norinco Dragunov M--- and there
was a PDM-86 model made by Polytech. It was supposedly identical to the Norinco model,
just was made prior to the 1989 ban. Is this the usual internet rumor mill churning or does this rifle really exist?
Never heard of it.
I do have NDM-86 and from what I have gathered the NDM-86 is not just chinese but soviet also. I am not sure about this but there are some russian steel scope boxes I have from Centerfire systems and they say "NDM-86 7.62X54R" on the top along with scope serial numbers. They are supposed to be russian boxes.

Yes, the PDM-86 does exist. But for the price of a PDM-86 you could get a real soviet SVD. I think there were less than 100 imported. I don't know who imported them, but they do exist.

I've heard of the PDM-86 but a google search turns up nothing but internet rumors. No photos or any kind of proof.
