Do you know what kind of FCG it has in it ??? I have done 5 Saiga conversions and have noticed that the opening in the receiver for the FCG is not big enough for some American made FCGs. You can remove the FCG and file the opening a bit. Mine tended to bind in the corners of the FCG opening.

just a quick thought: from what your describing sounds like the disconnect spring isn't strong enough; but, more than likely the disconnect has a load on it caused by the roll pin used to connect the disconnect and the triggerhook/trigger. This causes a bind and hinders the disconnect when you engage the trigger slowly.
You can cycle the action slowly with the dust cover off and look for anything that could cause that circumstance to happen.
You could replace the spring and relieve any area that may be binding.
AKMIKEFMJ suggested a good start point. I would more than likely replace the group with a G2 as rshaneck2002 recommended; because seperating the dissconnect and trigger would ruin any chance of returning the FCG for a refund. blah blah blah, good luck man.

Your disconnector is not grabbing the hammer securely enough, allowing it to slip free as the bolt carrier goes forward.I`ve had the same problem.Either a stronger disconecctor spring or a quick grind on the bottom of the disco is in order.I ground the bottom of my disco and it fixed it nicely.
With the bolt carrier and spring removed from your rifle play with the hammer/trigger.Pull the trigger slowly until the hammer releases and stop it with your finger keep the trigger in that position. The Disconnector should snap firmly over the hammer when it`s pushed back with the trigger in that same position. If you remove the disconnector look at the front bottom of it,there should be a tapered horizontal edge in the front about 1/32 of metal should be ground(horizontally as viewed from the front) off letting the disco travel farther forward catching the hammer more securely.

G2s don't have ANY second stage, which in an AK is simply the hammer contacting the disconnector and the disconnector spring kicks in for the final trigger travel. I prefer the ones that Century uses, believ it or not. Even though I often have to resurface the hammer for the correct face angle, they always have a destinct second stage. I found the G2s jsut go off somewhere during the pull. I don't like that.
