Want to replace my stolen AR15-9mm! What features do the Olympic 9mm have that are better than the Bushmaster?? Thanks CWS Peace-Out!!! :rock:

Since I don't have experience with the Bushmaster. But I have experience with the OLY. I owned 2 9mm guns. 1 I shot over 12k through it and the 2nd one I put 2-3k through it. They performed flawlessly. I used a socom block so I could use cheap sten mags. The OLY doesn't have a bolt hold open on the last round. There is a new model OLY that has a lower that is setup for Glock mags. That's good if you have a Glock already and with 33 round mags available for the 9mm. The Glock lower is dedicated so if you decide you want to use 5.56 you can use that lower.

Getting back to the standard OLY 9mm all you need is the OLY upper and the OLY mag to shoot pistol cal. There is no need to change your hammer to a 9mm type, or change the buffer. The OLY mags are expensive like 60 something bucks. With a socom block about 60 bucks you can buy sten mags I guess they are 6-7 bucks now and they hold 32 rounds. However you'll need a mag loader as the springs are super stiff.

Thanks for the great info!!! Oly seem to be better than the old Colt that I had? I was concerned about what looked like a charging rod on the receiver that was not on the Colt?? Thanks again.....Cwayne-Out!!!!

The Glock lower is dedicated so if you decide you want to use 5.56 you can use that lower.
I think you mean you CAN'T use that lower, correct? :p

That's right can't use the Glock lower for 5.56 that was a finger check on my part!

The best option would be the Colt 9mm. You can also look into Rock River.

Oly has 9mm that take glock mags. The magazines slant backwards some when insterted into the mag well. Its nice for interchangeability if you already own a glock 9mm . I believe Bushmaster has a 9mm AR that is similar to a Colt. The mag sticks out straight down on the Bushmaster and Colt.
