If I were to purchase a tapco galil style hand guard what will I need to do to install it on my Saiga 7.62. Do I need to change out the gas tube for one off of an AK?

what about cutting the ventilation holes in the stock saiga handguard?i saw them in the cross-conn conversion. does anyone have any suggestions i.e. what to use as a template. or better yet an easy wat to attach the AK-100 series handguards.mabye using that adapter on the front of the galil style guards. that would be the look i am trying to duplicate.

A Saiga guy (dinzzag+yahoo+com) was looking at making a clamp-style adapter to allow you to easily use any AK handguard set with out all the work. Something similar to the Tapco mount found on the Tapco Saiga Galil handguard.

Must be a clamp-on ring that just holds the handguard back against the receiver... not something made for the AK.
