Always liked the way they look. Does anyone make one, or could anyone be talked in to making one?

That sucks. Is there a company that has the capability?

Here in Germany is a company that bought Stechkins and modified them to semi-auto (because full auto is not allowed here). If I remember correctly they sell them for about $1.000. It is some month ago and I don't know if they still have them but I guess they will.
The company's name is
TRANSARMS
Küferstraße 17
67551 Worms-Pfeddersheim
Fon: +49 6247-1023
Fax: +49 6247-1057
Don't know if they sell in the USA.

If you R-E-A-L-L-Y wanted one you probably could have one made up but it would be EXPENSIVE.
If I'm remembering the auto mechanism on the Stechkin correctly,it's frame has some cut-outs that allow the auto parts to be put in place.
If you made up a semi frame without those cut-outs,so that the auto parts can not be fitted to it,itseems like the ATF should approve it.
So you would have to find blueprints for a auto Stechkin, redraw a semi blueprint, and find someone who could machine the new frame for you.
Then you would have to submit it to the ATF for their "this isn't a full-auto" blessing.
Stechkin parts kit = $$ ?
Original blueprints = $$ ?
Have new blueprint drawn = $$ ?
Machine new frame = $$ ?
Maybe a year for the ATF to rule on the legality.
I would probably submit the blueprint first, have the ATF rule on that and then if they okay it,have the frame made and submit it for final approval.
So for a year and a ton of money you MIGHT get a legal semi Stechkin.
If you wanted use the detachable stock on your semi, you would also have to register it as a Short Barreled Rifle, which costs another $200.00
