This is a new cartridge by Bushmaster made to fit the AR15 platform with a change of upper.

Post your questions or experience with this cartridge here.

I personally have not shot this cartridge yet.

The 450 Bushmaster is a new cartridge being sold by Hornady. That means proprietary. I've heard two different stories about its development. One is it is a lengthened .45 Win. Mag. case. The other is it is a cut down .284 Win. case. Just too early to know the whole story yet.

In an M-4 pattern rifle with red-dot sight...sounds like just the thing for wild boar. :naughty:

Couldn't seem to find any technical data there. Am I just not finding it, or have they not yet released ballistic data for it?

It looks like Hornady is holding of releasing any ballistic data similar to Bushmaster not posting any major details for the rifle chambered in the same caliber.

Steve, thanks for the clarification. That's kind of disappointing. Its hard to determine if its worth while or not without seeing any data. I wonder why they would be so tight lipped about it.

I'm still interested in seeing how it performs...
