Ammo finally arrived today. 700rds in each box in bandoleers x 2 boxes. All headstamped 1946. All bandoleers have a 2 stamped in ink on them. No rat turds or spider eggs. Pretty clean and dry. Not quite as bright and shiney as the "49" I got from WG&A but good enough. Pulled a clip from each bandoleer. No loose bullets or cracked necks. I'm pretty happy all in all. I wish they would not charge my CC until the stuff ships though. Ordered on 12/3, invoice printed 12/5, CC hit on 12/6 and ammo shipped 12/15 but I imagine it went out Monday 12/16 not Sunday. I have to say for all the bad PR I've seen posted about Burns Brothers & I/O they have never charged my CC before shipping. In all fairness I should state that this is the longest that Century has ever taken to get me my order. Given the season and the state of our world I guess my complaint seems rather unnecessary and trivial. Hope everyone else gets a good order. Merry Christmas to all.

Hey Richard, 700 rounds per box? Is this the Turkish ammo? If so, I thought that was in one humoungous case of 1400 rounds? I ordered a case on Monday this week; I HOPE they take a while shipping as I'll be out of town next week and I'd hate for them to send it back!

Yeah it's the Turk. I think they break it down into two boxes to keep the weight down and save on shipping costs.

That s the same ammo on strippers in bandolers that I purchaced about 4 years ago. It shoots ok only 2 duds out of about 700 rounds fired not the best ammo but a great deal.

Whta did they charge for that if you don't mind my asking. I picked up a few bandoleers from a shop..1945 clean and shiny, strippers the whole 9 yards...he said they don't sell much of it...so I asked what he wants for all he's got..
He told me $3.50 a bandoleer. Thats 35 bucks per $700...based on a quick eyeball count, he prolly has about 30-36 bandoleers.
Also, if anyone in the Atlanta area wants to go in with me let me know...I would take quit a long while to shoot 2000+ rounds in a mauser. I do want to shoot a few rounds of the stuff I bought ...but if it works...will prolly go back in a week or 2 to get the rest
