Received my Century Galil, and took it to the range ASAP to ensure it worked OK before warranty ran out. Gun was cosmetically nice (sorry, no pics) with a deep black finish. Folding stock was nice & tight, forearm (plastic) appeared to be an original that had been re-done.
Gun came with 2 mags, one almost new and one dented & poor cosmetically, but operational. My 2 new orlite mags did not fit, but probably will with some fitting.
Only fired at 50 yds (goal was to see if gun functioned OK). Used PMP 55gr ammo (S. African commercial, and quite accurate). Gun placed 15 rounds in about a 2" group, about 12" low. Tritum gone from nite sights, but the sights themselves are still there. Fired brass looked OK, no noticable show stoppers.
I know absolutely nothing about Galils--just took a chance on Century's build as I will never own a real one, so some of you Galil gurus may have a better informed and completely different impressiion than mine. I like it. The gun will give me a chance to "play" with an interesting example of 20th century militaria at a price that, while not cheap, is affordable. Now to get some goodies (wood handguard, bipod, etc) to pimp her up! Fortunately, I have a friend who knows the ways of the Galil and can advise me on what to get.
