Welcome! So what did you get?

Rock River usually has a couple of month backlog because their rifles are so good. If they didn't make quality rifles, they wouldn't have you waiting so long. :)

Well worth the wait!!!!

:welcome: to the board!

RRA has awful wait times.....you are always better off ordering from one of the big stocking dealers out there like Adco.

The kit I ordered arrived 8 weeks to the day that I ordered it. The wait sucked, but was well worth it.

that's what I am looking to do. They actually have some really good prices on the RRA complete uppers.

Purchased a RRA LAR-15 in 2005 in celebration of AWB sunset so the wait for me was only a day. Love the rifle although I wish I would have thought it out a bit more because I would have liked a detachable carry handle. Since then I've looked into gas-piston AR's and have ordered a POF upper-16-inch barrel with their 9-inch predator rail. So I more then feel your waiting pain now that I'm into my 16th week of waiting. And I'm still getting the "what do you need another rifle part for if your so happy with your RRA"? from my wife! Little does she know that I'd have at least 6 or 7 AR's if and when I could afford to. My wish list would include a RRA 9mm AR and a 6.5 Grendal from POF and a DPMS in .308 just to name a few.

I feel your pain. I ordered my RRA 12 weeks ago to the day. Apparently they had some problem with the barrels, so production got way behind.

Once it comes in, it will be configured like this:

Rock River Arms Mid-Length A4
Sure Fire M85 Hand Guard
Wilson Chrome Lined Barrel
Tango Down Vertical Grip
A.R.M.S. #40L BUIS
Aim Point Comp ML3 w/ A.R.M.S. #22M68 Mount

Update: Just got word from my dealer that the rifle shipped. 14 weeks to the day of order.

Think 12 weeks is bad? Try ordering one of their 1911's. Eight months is about the average wait right now. :(

Could be much worse. ;)

Good things come to those who wait. If it only took a week their guns would probably suck.

I've been looking at a RRA LAR-8 A2. My dealer told me 6 to 8 weeks....... Boo!!!!!

Well, I did recieve my 20" A4 and it was well worth the wait. I dont know how to post pics but it is a green manmade jewel. I guess I am subceptible to BRD because I've already got a .50 stovepipe for it (because a friend said I had no stopping power without buying a .308. Showed him what real stopping power is all about). btw, RockRiver came in as advertised 8wks.

Damn. I must be unlucky. 14 weeks and it's now on the way to my dealer, who then has to ship it to me here in NC. So hopefully in another 1 week+ I should have it in my grubby mitts.

I'm new to this...what does the "L" in LAR stand for? Thanks...

AR-15 is a trademark of Colt.....stick an L in front of it, no lawsuits. :)

I'm sure they picked L for some reason, but I've never seen a definitive reason as to why.

Bushmaster uses a B.....maybe RAR-15 just sounded weird to Chuck and Mark so they went with an L to stand for their last name.......Larson.

I'm glad I got my hands on two RRA lowers when they were $99 ea + $50 for the LPK's, presto two complete RRA lowers for $300. Just as good as my Colt if not better.

I am just trying to decide what barrel I want, then I will order mine, but the chrome lined barrels have a longer wait time. I have never even seen a RRA in person, but I hear good things about them. We use the Colt NM at work, some in 20" and some in 16". Can't complain about them. I hope the RRA is pretty close in quality.

I found 2 new ones at Forsyth County Pawn in Ga. both were Entry Tactical models so I just had to have one of em. They listed for $995, traded ban version bushy m4, AK brake & pinned stock, it had seen at least 10k rounds so needed a rest.
Been sahooting Bushy sfor years and felt the need for change, anyone had experience with the LAR complete from RR, if so any input appreciated. :gun:
