I ended up trading my troubled FN FAL for a Stag-15 A2. I look forward to taking it out for fun, but in the meantime here are some photos:

Very cool. Make sure to give us a range report.

Congrats on the new rifle!
Personally, I'd ditch the very high carry handle mount, but to each his own. Good luck with her!

I just got a Stag yesterday too. The M-4 configuration with the flat top rail and the folding rear sight. The have to be the handiest, lightest weight thing out there. I trained on the M-16A1, so it shouldn't be so difficult for an old fart like me. I'm going to try a wide variety of ammo, but I'm leaning more to the M-193 type load after hearing about all the straight through problems. ( Who knows for sure ? ).

I just picked up the same carbine M4 flat top/folding rear sight. I added a quadrail picatinny fore arm, a 1" riser and a 3-15x scope. I'm waiting for the Surefire light/laser unit, and a mini tri rail front sight adapter for it as well. They seem to be very well made, and I liked the fit and uniform color throughout. I also like the fact that they make all the major components in house, so they have complete quality control. I hope to get it to the range this weekend. I'm fortunate to have a nearly unlimited supply of free .223 -.45 ACP- 12 ga 00 buck, and slugs to play with!!!

Was this rifle advertised as a factory gun? I have never seen an A2 or mid-length for Stag. I suspect was built from a stripped lower, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, just depend on the parts and care used in its assembling.

Well, I finally had a chance to shoot the carbine. Aside from stovepiping and literally bending the casing, the carbine shot perfectly. I'm ditching the red dot site and going to try and get myself some rings to just mount a scouting scope of mine instead.
A nice carbine I must say. I shot it the same day with my Ak-74 and the big difference were the sights. The AK sights suck, but the ARs are quite impressive .
