I have a chance to get some complete Cav Arms lowers for a steal. The question is, am I buying something worth having, or merely expensive paperweights? Some posts seem to say you can only fit a Cav arms upper; others say no problems. Please help/advise.

are they the composite or aluminum lowers?

They are the composite ones. These are assembled with M4 stock for 1/2 normal price of anywhere else.

The only lowers of their's that I have used have been the MKII model with the fully molded receiver/pistol grip/buttstock. That one was very nice and light in comparison to an M4 stocked aluminum, but the grip was not ergo enough for my liking.

If it has an M4 stock on it, I am thinking that it is their aluminum receiver not their injection molded polymer one.

I have two of their poly lowers one is on the photos posted in this section cannot be an A4. I like the lowers and so do most I show it to it does not fit the description you offer. Cav Arms lower will fit any normal upper. I would like to know where these bargains are?http://www.cavalryarms.com/MKIIs.jpg
I got my last from Armalite at $50. That will never happen again. I think rifle with these lowers could make a very good police rifle or private secuity rifle where combat is not normally expected by protability and reliability is a primary requirement but Cav Arms has not to me seen to promote their lower like it might have been.
