I am asking for some opinions between the .308 and Rem .260. I am looking to buy an AR-10 and I am considering the Rem .260 after reading the artical in this months American Rifleman

It's better, but it's not overly "common". 6.5 projectiles are much more efficient in flight. They drag less air and as a result the bullet speed stays higher, it drifts less in wind and drops less over the same distance vs. .308 bullets.
