Just took the Class 3 AK out and had fun. I shot that Norinco ammo, and then some of the russian hp ammo. The side of the crates say that it's non-corrosive, but does anybody know if that's true or not? Should i take corrosive ammo precautions, even though it says non-corrosive?
AK ran flawlessly. What an excellent design. I added a Romanian vertical grip to the front of the gun, and it sure does make it more controlable. Plus the heat from the barrel doesn't burn you. I don't think that I'll go back to the horizontal grips again. The only problem with the vertical foregrips are that you can't use the larger capacity magazines, because they won't rock forward to get them into the mag well. Ah well, every rose has it's thorn...

I treat any imported military ammo as corrosive. Many types that say non-corrosive on the box are at least slightly corrosive.

Thanks, I'll give it a bath. I thought that ammo might be slightly corrosive, even though it said it wasn't. What kind of dirty trick is writing 'non-corrosive' on the side of the case?
