Well, I don't have the best of feelings about what I just did, but I did it. I just sent off for two 100 rnd drums. The price seemed to very darn right and I could not help myself. What bothers me is that the person I sent the money to only gave a PO box as an address. I did send a Postal MO, so if he trys to take me I can send the Postal goons after him =) Anyways, assuming that the other party will make good on the deal, what are functioning 100 rounders worth? If the finish is worn, would it ba advisable to refinish the buggers? Do they function like the Chinesse 75 rnd drums? What countries of origins are out there. Thanks for any help and one hole groups to you!

I understand they are identical to the 75 rounders, but hold 100 instead of 75.
The only problem I have heard on these is the follower has a tendency to flatten in time because of the increased spring tension. They did not compensate for this when manufacuring these. Other than that, that is all I know on them.
Price should not be much higher than the 75 rd drum. Have seen them for $125 new on some ads for sale locally. Private parties mind you on this, not a store front.

i baught my 100 rounder a few years ago.
i was looking at a 75 rnd'r also.
if i remember right the 75 was just a little smaller than the 100.
i paid $105 he was askin $125.
as far as the PO box goes, maybe the guy lives in the middle of nowhere so he must go to get his own mail.
i like mine a lot.
good luck to you, and all of us !

You're money is safe. Gun owners tend to be down right good people, and i have always felt secure, and have never been burnt. Altho i have felt quite paranoid at times because the other side was slow to get stuff into the mail. And also, you did the right thing in getting the postal srvc on your side. From what i understand, they allocate alot of resources to solve the cases of mail fraud......
I've only seen the 100 rounders at shows.......at obscene prices. There was a local show this last w/end. NOt one price for your item under $200. Mostly in the $230-250 range, and I would offer $125 for em, but the dealers would just laugh at me. I would gladly pay $120-130 for one......prob too much, but it'd be great to own one for $h*ts and grins.

I think you are right about the seller being out in the sticks. I got his phone number, and it checks good. I have never been burnt in any of the firearm related transactions I have done out of state, and most of the items I buy are this way. I am sure this one will be just like all the others...no problem what so ever. I am rather excited. My NHM-91 with RPK furniture(which I just received today and am in the process of fitting) and 100 rnd'er is going to look just beautiful =). Thanks for the responses!
