WTK: Good AK74 mags?

What are there to choose from in good quality AK74 5.45 mags?

Guess it would be your prefernce. The Poly Black mags for $8.95 or the Baklite German mags for $5.95-$8.95. :D

I've both types,both work as well as the other. My 2 cents get the East German more mags for the buck$.

Ditto what Dan 44 said, Get bakelites in pouch from various on line sources, get Black poly from Maguaindustries(CHEIF), both work ok, Bakelite's better constructed IMHO.

Check out Northridge International - they have a special on bakelites in pouch, with accessories - 2 pouch sets (8 mags) for $37.50 delivered ($4.69 per mag). They say 4-6 weeks for delivery though.

If you don't mind waiting then Northridge is definitely the way to go. I just received my order (3 sets or 24 mags w/pouches, stripper clips, stripper clips guides, cleaning kits & BFAs) for $100 shipped and everything is still new & sealed in plastic bags. Can't beat that deal with a stick...

The black polymer mags look really nice in a SAR-2 with black furniture. East German mags works just as good and cost alot less than the polymer mags. I would buy a couple black polymer mags then fill out your collection with East German.
