I see all kinds of ads for AK magazines and the ads always state the country of origin. I just bought a new SAR-1 and it came with 3 30rd mags and 1 10rd mag. All 4 are made of steel with a heavy ridge up the back and embossed sides. I completely disassembled all 4 and cleaned them up and lightly oiled the surfaces for rust protection. I carefully examined all the parts and the mag bodies, but could not find a single mark of any kind.
So what kind of mags do I have? Romanian, E German, Bulgarian, Chinese, Tim-Buk-Tu, etc.?
Better yet, how do the folks selling them know where they came from?

You don't have chinese mags because they have no rib on the backside of the mag.Alot of mags are coming from eastern europe. As long as they function correctly,I don't care where they come from.
