Hello all.
I have seen the ads for the 9mm Soumi drums and usually the ad says something like "may be used for other applications". Is there any practical use for a Soumi drum, or is this just sales hype?
It sure would be nice if there was some practical use for them.
The only gun that comes to my mind that it MIGHT fit is the smg type 9mm carbine that was being advertised in Shotgun News a few years ago called the "Linda Carbine".
Does anyone know of any relatively inexpensive gun that this drum works with?

I bought two of them and used them to make drums for my codra m11/9. I have heard of them used for all kinds of drum attachment's to 1911's, some 9mm smg's and stuff like that. But for my use it was cheaper than buying drums for 500.00 for it. They may not look pretty but they sure work great.

Arcticblur; interesting. How did you go about doing that? I would like to do that too. It's obviously legal or else companies wouldn't be doing it.
Attachments for a 1911 .45? Do .45 cal rounds fit? If so then why not just use it as it is with a Thompson smg?
