$85 dollars? That seems kinda steep for some non precision molded plastic, we're not exactly talking about a firearm receiver here.

Affordable compared to $170 maybe.

Shit, TAPCO should make Sig forearms!

They sell the T6 stock, which has receiver extension, buffer with spring, locking nut with plate, and sling swivel. $70 for all that metal and plastic. ;)

They have various plastic AK hand guards for under $50.

Hell for $80 TAPCO will sell you a whole boatload of plastic shit to turn your SKS into some bastard Ar-15 wannabe, the whole stock, grip, etc.

SO THERE. :)

Actually $85 is inexpensive compared to what they are going for. Most guys that are putting them on their 556's are having to order via Canada or Switzerland. And the Dollar has been in the shit'er for awhile now. So after purchase, shipping, etc your out about $140 if your lucky.

Yeah, but Tapco's stuff is bassically the crappiest quality components I've seen anywhere. I wouldn't let one of their T6 stocks anywhere near anything I own. You get what you paid for IMO. In Tapco's case it isn't all that much. I might consider one of their plastic stocks for an SKS with wood that looks like it was put through a chipper, but short of that, no thanks. Theres a reason even an after-market Magpul stock or mag costs so much more. It's quality is much different.

85$ from SIG itself is a good deal. If you compare that to HK or Walther components you're miles ahead of the game. I think it's worth every penny, even if technically it shouldn't be.
