Got a couple of Bulgarian 7.62x39 Waffle mags

very nice, like new. Plastic /composit body. follower works very smoothly. I'm impressed, need to go shoot with one and see if the rifle is as happy about it as I am.

My local gunshop had 2 cases of new unissued Bulgarian Mags, one case was the steel for 9.99ea, the other case was the plastic waffle for 18.99ea. I picked up a couple of the steel. I was intrigued by the waffles, they looked really cool and seem as sturdy as the steel but at double the price I just went with the steel. What is the benefit of the waffles? How is that price? Maybe I should go grab some before they are all gone.

I would! I've got steel mags coming out of my ears, so I bought some waffles just for grins, glad I did, very nice to have they look great and function just as well.

I have a couple. Fit and function are just as good as steel. The waffle mags actually fit the receiver tighter, no wobble like steel does.

I got alot of the Bulgarian Steel mags, price just kept coming down so I got more.
They are very nice, as good or better than my East German ones, would get several to just put away for a rainy day. Than the waffle mags started coming down, got down to the 17.00 range and bought some and than a few more at the 13.00 price, they are really great, everyone should have a pouch or two full or more. Got mine from Progressive, but than Kvar had them from 10 bucks, you can't beat the prices. :D

Waffles are cool and look marvelous with polymer furniture and I am glad I picked up some myself but am hoping to get some more soon.

Still for day to day use I prefer steel.

I like waffles cause they look good, lock up tighter than steel and they don't rust!

Got some for my .223 VEPR II from Progressive back in Dec and they are perfect. Bought a batch for my SLR-95 and they work the same.....

I prefer waffles over steel anyday..
