My Bulgarian Makarov PM. Unissued military from the late 1960's or early 70's. Extremely accurate little piece, even with the tiny sights. This is now my carry gun when I don's want to carry. Not nearly as worried about someone taking it from me when on a road trip as my HK P7M8.

I have one of those little Bulgy mil maks great gun I have been very impressed. I hope to get another one late this year or early next and have it rebarreled in .380 unless I can find one of the commercial guns reasonable. The factory .380s seem to be bringing such a premium these days. Make a good beater Take care ! Perhaps I will post a picture tonight (when the dig cams batteries recharge) of Boris the SLR and Natasha the Makarov. "We find moose and squirrel!!!!!!"

Only Bulgarian weapons I have are SLR-95 and Aresenal 10(in circle) mility makarov(2 of them in excellent condition and matching #'s) I personally like them both. As far as pistols go they are the nicest(for price) and cheapest pistols I have(paid $149)I have nicer more expensive H&K's but you asked about bulgarian.

My personal favorite is the milled Bulgarian receiver itself. Many a fine rifle has been built using it as the foundation.

That would have to be the AKS-74U Bulgarian Krinkov. That thing is the best of all worlds!

My new Arsenal USA SSR99P. The Bulgarian synthetic stock for it should arrive today. The metal on this rifle is finished beautifully and desrves better than the beat up Polish wood it came with.

altho, ya gotta love the uniqueness of the SSR-99P. It may be be my fav because of the fact that only 400 or so origianl Polish models of these were ever produced. Aresenal USA bought em all, and produced only 150 or so out of the lot.... I was able to acquire mine with decent buttstock and handguards (seems to be better than some of the other specimens i've heard about). The furniture definately has a weathered look to it, but not chewed up. But, a huge complaint is obvious when one looks at that disastrous US pistol grip......

Is there a Bulgarian bikini team?..that would qualify for me!

Other than that I'll have to go for the milled reciever..the foundation for so many possibilities.

Yes, the Bulgie receiver has to take the prize. In years down the road they'll prove their worth many times over.

This is my first post here, I was invited over from AK-47.net. I just have my SLR-95, and I have always been very happy with it. I have the Ace kit on it, which I am also very happy with. I want to put a Kobra sight on it, together with a tactical light and laser.
