I recently purchased an Armalite M 15 AR-15 rifle. I have not shot it yet but field stripped it today to get it ready for the range.
I noticed the extractor DOES NOT have the little spring under it. I have owned Bushmasters and RRA AR's and both had the little spring under one end of the extractor. Does Armalite not use that spring or did they fail to supply one at the factory?? Anyone know?

Thanks,
Jeff

It should have a spring.

The only difference between my ArmaLite & Bushmaster is that my ArmaLite has an o-ring with a spring inside it. They are exactly the same; I guess ArmaLite just added the o-ring for some reason.
