If any of you guys are tempted and have the green stuff...there's a M78 in 7.62 NATO for sale on Sturmgewehr.

C'mon now.... 7.62 NATO is the only way to fly..... http://www.ak47forums.com/cool.gif
Ammo will never be cheaper for 7.62 NATO, it's damn near what 7.62x39mm is going for..or certainly 5.56.

Nope, just checked my email, and I haven't received your message Mike. When did you send it, and to which address? I had my demolay@mindspring.com addy here, then I signed up for the Admin's free e-mail, Templar@gunsnet.net.
In any case, I can't swing another mag right now, I have 3 Galil 25 rounders that I've modified with help from Mike@msc. You're right, they are expensive.
Back in 90, I had the opportunity to buy either a NIB Valmet M78 in 7.62 NATO with all wood, or a NIB Springfield Armory SAR-48 Israeli Heavy Barrel, either one $1,000.00.
I chose the FAL, because even then, Valmet 7.62 NATO mags were running around $40.00 or so, and Israeli surplus FAL mags were $5.00. Later I ended up trading the SAR for a NIB Galil AR in 7.62 NATO, it was just too damn heavy for a semi-auto, and i swallowed the Galil mag prices.
BTW...do you stil need any Yugo furniture? Did you see my offer for the pistol grip?
