Dark wooded Hungarian found!

[Ned Flanders]

For the argument over whether or not the Hungarians ever imported some with dark furniture. This looks like hung wood to me. If I can get a pic of it this weekend, I will show you one that the wood is so dark that it looks brown. It is new in box. It is the only one I have ever seen.

Did you notice this dark finnished FEG has a Chinese AKM bayonet attached? I wonder what happened to the original Hungarian one?

I suspect the rifle is refinished. I'll bet that wood has been stained dark by a previous owner.

While that rifle may be nearly new and unfired it is obvious that several people have probably owned it.
That's why the original box, bayonet and cleaning kit have become seperated from this rifle.

Why would someone restain the wood? To make it look more military maybe? Also, notice that somebody has tightened the 'loose' muzzlebrake.

My friend said no go to taking a pic of his gun(why I dont know) The wood is almost that dark and it is new in box. He wouldnt even let me pick it up. Wish it was mine.

i bought my folder from original owner,,,,,
the lower handguard and pistol grip are darker then most, but the upper handguard is real dark.....I prefer a nice set of matched blond wood......im either gonna look for a take of set of handguards or get these refinished......joezeta
