Is the Romak3/FKP/PSL a real military weapon or was it made just for the US market?

I have heard people say both but would like a solid answer.

Here is a post on another board that says they aren't mil at all: http://kalashnikov.guns.ru/wwwboard/board2/messages/1909.html

I am just curious as I already have one and was trying to figure out the origin of the rifle(meaning if it's real military or like so many AK varients made for the US market).

TIA

They are very military...just look in Jane's Infantry Small Arms, or Ezell's Small Arms of the World 12th Edition, or Ezell's Small Arms Today 2nd Edition, or the US DoD Military manual for the FPK that I have...
