I don't see a gunsmithing thread or I would ask elsewhere but can anyone tell me how to remove the trigger group from the SAR series rifles. I would appreciate any advice, T.I.A.

It's surprisingly easy. Remove the receiver cover, recoil spring assembly & bolt carrier w/bolt. If you look down on the left side of the receiver you'll see a silver retaining pin. Use the edge of a small flathead screwdriver to push the rearmost end of the retaining pin forward to move the pin off the forward pivot pin. This will loosen the pin so you can pull it forward and out. Now you can pull the rear (trigger) pivot pin out from the left or push it out from the right. Wiggle the trigger group a little while doing this, it will make removal of the pin easier. Once the pin comes out you can lift the trigger & disconnector free of the hammer spring and out of the receiver. Be careful as when the trigger pivot pin comes loose the disconnector & its spring may jump free. HTH...
