My fingers must be long enough (seems to be other peoples' main complaint)

They are nice. Especially sense they lack the problems the SAR series has with U.S. made parts.

I love mine! Do you have the double stack version with the butthole stock? Thats what I have. I remember being so excited years ago when they first came out. I had always wanted an AK in that caliber.

It's a WUM II (?) Double Stack Draganov Stock. The only drawback is the welded-on muzzle guard. It's threaded underneath, but the guard on mine is welded, ground nicely, and finished about 3/4 of the circumfrence... It would be quite a task to change out the front sight, etc. to put on a really just cosmetic, muzzle brake....

Sounds like you described all the romak series of rifles.

I have a romak2 not been able to shoot it yet but it looks nice and is comfortable to hold. It looks like a miniature version of my romak3. I also have the 991 it looks the same but diff. cal. and single stack which is going to be fixed by Informer. Also going to have a 23" barrel installed on it with muzzle brake.

Check out the thread here titled Tantal on the Romanian semi-auto AK. You will find your answer there. If you have another or a follow up question please ask here. If I do not know the answer I can probably get it.

I have been casually looking for one of these myself prefering them to the SAR2. Though if the price keeps falling on the SAR2 that will probably be what I buy!!!!! $250 and dropping.
