hello everyone, i'm new to these boards and posted a question on the weapons discussion board and someone mentioned that i might find the answer here, so here goes http://www.ak47forums.com/smile.gif i was over at securityarms.com when i came across a most unusual firearm. it appears to be an AK prototype and if anyone has any information on it, more importantly, information on it's mechanics i would be very grateful. i'm puzzling over how the weapon could fire when there is no apparent room for a full bolt to cycle back. here's the weapon in question

my current running theory is that it uses a U or J shaped bolt and short firing pin. where the sides of the U or J sit flush along side the barrel when it's in a closed bolt postion, and the firing pin assembly sits in the bottom of the U or J, when it cycles back it would only slide back the firing pin and ejector parts of the bolt (the rest of the bolt mearly being "guide arms") and it looks like there would be enough room for possibly a very short firing pin assmbly between the rear of the mag and the end of the buttstock itself. but i'm looking to see if anyone has the real story on the weapon to tell for sure and to see how close i am in my thinking.
