OK guys, should I get this instead of an AR? Why or why not. Right now I have an AK in 7.62X39. I want to use it for tactical carbine matches and SHTF. Should I get it in 5.56X45 or 7.62X39.

From everything I have read it is a great rifle platform!

From some of the actions and statement of the owner I personally would not support him or his beliefs but I respect other peoples informed decisions.

I've heard it had problems with wolf ammo, which is hilarious because it's designed to be more 'reliable' yet even the ar-15 can feed wold.

Understood and I think I conveyed that in my post. Personally I wouldn't give my money to someone who would back (donate your money to) someone who is against US as gun owners. I am from Mass and Mitt Romney is/was not a friend to gun owners. I respect your decision and just wanted you to know all the information available, including his comments towards many on this site. What you do with that information is totally up to you.

I handled them at gun shows and at gun shops. It seems nose heavy to me and the charging handle is on the right. I've also heard that optics can interfere with the operation of the charging handle.
