A lot of folks here really seem to like the Cobra. Has anybody tried the Tasco Pro-point red dot? It could be mounted on the Millett mount, which replaces the rear sight. Looks like a good option for an AK with no side rail. If anyone has tried this setup I'd like to hear the pros and cons. Thanks!

My biggest problem with the Millett setup is that it replaces the rear sight. If your optics fail you have no backup. At least with the Kobra and other siderail mounted optics they're quick-detachable so you still have your irons for backup. It's fairly easy to install a siderail on your AK if it doesn't already have one.
