Which Russian Military Scope do I get.

I want to put a scope on my Romanian SAR-1 that I am getting for Christmas what do I look for.:D

I just got a 1PN-29. It looks like a Trilux British scope, but it's made in Russia. Came with a 3 cams- AK, AK short barrel, and RPD......I think, ......it's all in Russian. It's got a range finder and a thick inverted post. It's shorter than the PSO-1 Scopes. It's also more money than the PSO-1's. I paid $200 for mine.

There's a guy on the Yugo board that's going to be importing some cool Yugo scopes; I want one of those for my AK-101. He hasn't posted prices yet. He does have several pictures though.

My buddies got one of the Kobra sights from Tantal on his Hungarian. For a red dot sight, it looks tough as nails. It looks like it would stand up to hard use. Something the most of the cheap asian made red dots won't do.

Then he's got a PSO-1 4X on his SAR-2 and a PSO-1 6x on his Romanian PSL. They seem to be a bargain for what you get. The 6x had a "v" reticle that I liked.

The cams for the 1P29 are as follows: AK-74 (marked "AK"), RPK-74 (marked "Pnk"), and PK (marked "nK"). $200 is a very good price if you received the full accessories with bag. Even without them, you got a very decent deal.

Thanks for the info Tantal. I was told it was for 7.62x39 & 7.62x54R. You saved me some grief on the rifle range. I've got to get a money order off to you today for some side plate mounts. Guess it'll have to go on the AK-101 until I get a 5.45x39. Hope the post office is back to normal. I just couldn't deal with it before the holidays.
