Got my Yugo under the tree today......Stock is barely a Good at best...Numbers don't match, looks tlike this was assembled from two different guns.Wood has LOTS of dings, gouges, scratches, and deep scars...No Name on this one,but a BIG DEEP #5 looks like it was handcarved on the buttstock......Bolt,carrier and cover match then the rest of the gun matches a different number.
Bore looks okay, blueing is about 70% in my estimation except for the mag........Flip up night sight sights are cool, bayo is pretty good shape.
Wood is DARK unlike the pics of the LN yugo's at IO......
Basically I'm disappointed.
Didn't clean the bore yet,but the rifling looks decently crisp.
Will probably send this back, especially if the wife paid for a handpick.......And wait for AIM......
I think I've pretty much learned my lesson with SOG.This will be the second rifle out of THREE that I've sent back......
Is it truly worth $149 or whatever she paid?? Probably considering the SKS I got from J&G,but definitely not up to my standard for a VG(handpick).....Rifle is a shakey Good in my estimation.
Hope everybody else had a great Christmas,I did regardless of the SKS's condition.....:D
