Which power scope for .308 AK?

If you had to pick between a 4x, 6x, or 8x scope for an AK chambered in .308 Win., which power would you pick - and why?

First - what is this tool for? That will anwer your question for you. If it's for long range work, then a fairly powerful scope is in order. FIRST, though, is it accurate at 100 yds? No point in putting a sniper scope on a pipe :)

Short range work? A less powerful scope. But in this case - why get a 308?

I would suggest a powerful scope for this rifle... but it needs to be wothy of that power befor you invest. If it isn't, I would actually suggest trading it off...

A .308 VEPR should deliver good accuracy.... I think I would go for the 8X myself :)

I'd go with 4x magnification and won't go over 6x because your field of view will be too small with 8x and you will be to slow on targets under 100m.
