FYI in case anyone else gets a broken spring in their 'good' Yugo like I did. I installed a Tapco Chinese spring, works great, $4.99.
These will work in a Romanian rifle as well.
The forked end is shaped slightly different than the Yugo and Romanian rifles but the width between the forks is the same.
The Russian springs don't have a forked end but I suspect these will work in those rifles too, because it's the same principle. I'm not positive about that though because I've never replaced a Russian saftey spring. I've read that many Russian rifles had the spring removed. They bent the metal a bit on the safety lever to produce friction. Supposedly this works fine, but I'd rather have the spring in there. I'll have to check my two Russians and see if they have them.
