Am seeking advice about what scope to put on my SSR 85B. I like the PSO scopes that Tantal has for sale. What are the differences between the different ones, including the Lynx ones that he shows on his website. Anyone with firsthand knowledge.....please give me your advice. Any other scopes I should look into? Thanks in advance.

If you are going to use a side rail mount, another option is the MTK =75 scope mount. You can install an "American" style scope in one. I was going to get one from Tantal, but happened across one at a gunshow for the same $. It works well on the SAR 2 I put it on, except that the rifles siderail is not quite straight. The Romanians got in a hurry I guess. I was able to adjust for that, but thats a subject for another post. Anyway, the mount is very solid, yet goes on/off easily. There is no problem with eye relief, but that Redfield I'm using is pretty forgiving about that. :)

One more thing. I'm sure you would prefer the russian scopes over a cheap "american" style scope. Most of the lower end popular scopes (simmons, tasco, etc) available are made in China:( . I would much prefer a russian scope over that option. If you go with an "American" scope, check for the actual country of origin. I think the best choices are made in the USA, Japan, and Korea, in that order. This does not include the high end Euro stuff of course. Good luck!
