I have a #4, I don't know much about it. I will post some detailed photos of it tonight. (if I remember that is)
I paid 30 dollars for it! The only thing I don't like about it is the stock has a plastic disk with a number embedded into it.

Hey NC, when did you get the Ishapore Enfield? I've seen the others. It looks particularly nice for an Ishapore.

What kind of accuracy do you get with each? How do No I, Mark III's rate compared to others? Is $150 too much for a No I Mark III? What about a Savage No. 4 Mark I?
Damn, I'm getting hooked on military bolt actions again!

Sorry guys. This thread got pushed down the line so I missed reading your replies until now.
Schuetz, I picked her up the same day my friend bought that Turk Mauser from you. Next time we get together you'll have to take a turn behind the controls. :D
I got the Ishapore from Classic at the Raleigh gun show. It has been refinished and the stock is brand new. Looks like they repainted the metal and sand blasted the bolt. Bolt and receiver match. Rifling is sharp and the bore is like a mirror. Trigger breaks as smoothly as the trigger on my No.1 - which is surprisingly crisp for a two-stage military trigger. I haven't had the chance to put it on paper yet. I'll have to bend the mag lips a little more because it doesn't feed as well as it should. Recoil is stout, but not too bad.
1-Pat, the No.1 has about 75% blue left, otherwise in fantastic condition. There's not a thing mechanically wrong with it, in fact, I can take 10 well placed shots in the time it takes a friend to take 5 in his Mauser. The bolt really is that fast. She has a wandering zero, though. I picked it up from a private collector at a gun show for $100 about three years ago. :D
Edited to fix typo.

NC the Ishapores have chrome lined barrels and chambers from all the ones I've seen, that's why the bores look so shinny. The Indians tended to use corrosive primers up intil the late 70's.
BTW the description of the sandblasted bolt tells me it's a Navy Arms weapon. It may not be original conditon but it sure does look sweet.

Now that you mention it, I remember the import mark didn't indicate Century Int'l. I'm at work now so I can't go look, but I do remember that it was imported by somebody else. Navy Arms? Hmmm....
