the stock is going to take a wile to do.I'm only going to do it on Saturdays at work. it gives me something to do there. the wood is almost a light tan when stripped. I'm going to use mahogany and keep putting it on until it almost dark. then I'm going to use BLO if I can find some.where can I get some? everywhere I go people look at me strange when I ask them for the stuff.:)

1. I used the cherry on a whim but really didnt like it. I might strip mine down and redo. You made me so envious of that polished bolt I went out and bought a dremel tool 9.6v multipro cordless (wow) I definitely will polish my bolt up.

2. Dark Mohogany is the stain of choice on that light wood.

Good luck. Keep an eye open for a Frenchy for me. That was the dime a dozen model I saw today M-36). I noticed a pic of it while shopping on for a #4 Enfield.
