Need help with my 1p29 mount....

I can't seem to get it to stay on the damn gun! I fits on, but can be easily wiggled off after engaging the clamp. Is there any ajustments that can be made or do I need a new / different mount? I have atempted to fit it to both a SAR-1 and a CUR-2, both to no avail. Perhaps it doesn't like the Romanian modifided mounting block. I'm at a los on this one.

I have been unable to locate a replacement mount anywhere too. :(

Yes, there is a way to tighten the clamp. In the pic, the pen is pointing to the place where you need to study. It works just like the Kobra clamp. I cant put in words how to do it, but if you carefully examine it, you shoud figure it out.

Thanks Mr. Flanders! I got the mounting clamp completely apart after some head scratching. I noticed that my mount compared to the picture had the part of the clamp that would be gripped on upside down. Shear genius on the part of the person I bought it from. Anyway, now it fits tighter and doesn't fall off, but is horribly, horribly wobbly. :( I figured out that if I put some cotton bore patches over the mounting rail befor putting the mount on it clamps nice and tight with only a marginal wobble.


My question now is, is that fixable? I can't see anything short of adding material to the dovetailed part of the mount that would fix that. Or a better option perhaps, is if the bottom part of a Kobra mount is interchangable with my mount. The screws in a couple pictures of Kobra mounts look identicaly placed, so this may be an option. Anybody ever try this?

You can tighten it for just about any variance in opticla side rails. here is a link to instructions I made up for these types of clamps:

Adjusting the Kobra, PSO-1V, 1P29, 1PN58, MTK, PGO, and 1P21 sight mounting clamp/lever:

The main goal is to turn the center shaft more so it grips the plate, this is done by repositioning the leve ron it's gear teeth.
