Got some good/bad news today

Was just informed that my company will have a rolling layoff this month possibly next week. I told the wife at lunch today that I may be off work from the 12th thru the 20th. She said I should probably order a couple of guns so I'll have something to do with myself. The funny part is I think she's serious. Yeah baby, Skin that Smokewagon. :D

I'd look at it as the glass is half full! At least it isn't longterm or PERMANANT! I've got about 2 months yet for a job to find me(OOPs I mean find a job) or get called back then I gotta go all out and accept the shitty lowpaying crap that's out there....:cryeyes:

Actually the layoff thing isn't that big a deal as we seem to go through this on a yearly basis. Good company just mismanaged by the owner. If it messes up my collecting I'll get pissed. Don't really need the paycheck too badly right now. I have not lived paycheck to paycheck for many years so a week or two is more of an unexpected vacation than a crisis. Maybe I'll get an M38 after all.:D

Sorry to hear about everybody's employment problems. My wife is in the same boat with you some of you guys, she hasn't had a job since the end of January last year.

Knock on wood, my job seems secure despite the fact that 90% of what my company does is supply parts to Ford. I sure am hoping the economy is going to pick up quick.

Good news is car sales are up.

1. Well the economy aint getting better guys. We sell scrap and we make a killing on seconds during recessions. We cant keep up with the orders right now.

Was informed yesterday evening that there will be no layoff. I guess this means I can't order an M38 from AIM to keep myself busy.:( I guess I'll just have to order the grenade launching Enfield from Springfield Sporters instead. :D My daughter is taking tennis as her PE class in JC this spring so I'll have plenty of ammo.
