After the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor in December of 1941, the United States placed large contracts for a revolver to be used by the US military forces. Between 1942 and 1945, Smith & Wesson produced the Victory Model to help speed up the wartime efforts. "US Property" military revolvers are in good, original condition. This historic collector model is chambered for 38 S&W cartridge with a 5 inch barrel and lanyard ring.
CURIO & RELIC ELIGABLE!
ORDER #SW-VIC38 $149.95
Anyone bought one yet? For the price, it's a pretty good for a piece of history. How's the fiinish and function? I'm considering getting one for myself.
I've read elsewhere there's a dispute about what a "true" Victory revolver chambered, .38S&W or .38Special. Supposedly the ones made for Bristish had the .38S&W and 5" barrel. Then they were made for US in .38Spl and 4" barrel. But these are marked "US Property", which seems to make it US versions. Anyone can clear it up? Thanks.
