Fellas-
I picked up my Yugo SKS from Aim this week, even for a "good "rifle it is in good shape, but I ahve a question,
when I take the saftey off, it does not slide flush with the trigger guard, therefore I have to arch my trigger finger around it a bit, is this normal? My Russkie does not do this, any solutions?
thanks

on mine it's flush with the trigger guard. you might want to take your rifle apart and maybe there's something blocking it.also it could be the safety spring screwing you up also.
take the wood off and give it a look.

My 2 yugos both protrude out to the right side a bit.:)

That sounds about right for an SKS. The safety is one feature I never cared for. It seems to get in the way to me too. I've read that alot of military rifles had the safety removed.
If the safety snaps crisply on and off, your spring is OK.

The pictures are very good, the safety should be just like that, sticking alittle out to the side but flush with the rear of the trigger guard.

nothing is blocking the saftey, so I took the ever so usefull dremel and took a smidgion off the rear where it was making contact, and all is well, I can also make ar-15 mags work an AR-180s anyone need some done?
Thanks for the help
