Dear Fellow Members-FINALLY received my exchange Yugo SKS for the 3 stock crack, bent safety dog that I originally received.Had paid $333.00 ,including a $20.00 handpick fee,for a "Like New" one.Well,Stephanie at IO picked out one that is superb! All matching #'s,New Teak Stock, new buttstock cleaning kit, oiler and pouch. Also received an AK-74 cleaning kit,EG grenade pouch and a used Yugo sling. The bore is virgin and the night sights glow!I really like the fact that its Teak,so all I have to do is oil the wood with The Natchez SOlution and I'm set. Will send pics when I can:)-Gearhead.

Dear Fellow Members-Considering that I spent $333.00 on the original gun,$20.00 to ship it back ,and at least $25.00 on phone calls, this SHOULD be a nice SKS!And yes,the night sights glow!Stephanie was great from start to finish-I wish the warehouse people were as competent as her!Don't understand all the ruckus about the cosmoline-Mine was thick, but it all scrubbed off with Varsol and towels!I spent a total time of 4 hours completely stripping it,cleaning it and reoiling the stock and metal! As brilliant as this sounds, the Romanian slings work great! It appears that the oiler pouch may have mounted on the original sling,as the oiler pouch "loops" are quite narrow and appear to be a perfect fit with the sling-Too bad the Yugo sling was worn out.Why they included an AK-74 cleaning kit and EG grenade pouch is beyond me.Still, the buttstock cleaning kit is PRIMO,with brush, jag and punch! If I had to do this again, though,I would not!It will be awhile before I order from IO again.A buddy of mine who just took over a gun shop told me how the last shop he worked for dropped IO because of poor picking and packing.I think that therein lies part of the problem. Will send you some pics as soon as they develope!:)-Gearhead
