Say guys, what do you think of the Enfield No. 7. I'm looking at J&G's flyer, $169. Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Never fired one. But if you like short, compact, HARD HITTING WEAPONS, I say GO FOR IT! If you do not like it, you can always sell it. I LOVE my #5, so the #7 would probably be a KEEPER!!! Hope that this helps. Besides IT's AN ENFIELD!!!! You know that they are reliable!!!! 8dDUCE.

Cool. I always drooled over the sight of a No. 5. No. 7 looks great too.

Love all those good responses. It's been several days now.

Love all those Enfield owners putting in their postive responses of their experiences with these rifles.

Looks like TheBigCA needs to commit GunsNet Suicide. I can't believe it.

Sorry, CA I must have missed this thread.

I'd be seriously tempted. I would like to have a nice No.7 but to be perfectly honest, I don't know what is a fair price for them. That, and relative unavailability, has held me back. I found one at a show last year but the dealer wanted almost $200 for it. That didn't sound like a good price to me so I passed it up.

Oh brother! Here I am, thinking about the No.7 Mk.I when you are talking about the jungle carbine! Sometimes the synapses don't fire as fast as they should, if you know what I mean. ;) When I said No.7, I was talking about the .22LR trainer rifle. That's the one I'd like to have.
