the ammo costs as much as the rifle almost, but it's in stock. You can buy dies too and reload this expensive stuff

19 rounds for $25 asking bid bid at auction, not sure if there's a reserve, has two boxes of 19 I think, closes 1/14:

I can buy the 140 grain Prvi Partizan Yugo ammo all day for $18 box.

The stuff that shoots best is Norma 6.5 Carcano 156 grain. My local gunshop stocks it and can get it for $33/box. That stuff is my "gold reserve" just to shoot groupings at 100 yard ranges.

The Yugo is just for plinking around, and is not very accurate ammo in any Carcano.

The Norma stuff is the tightest. Check out their ballistics page for the 6.5 carcano alaska.www.norma.cc/htm_files/javapagee.htm (http://www.norma.cc/htm_files/javapagee.htm)

Gun parts still carries the charger clips for something like $5. They have the brass and the phosphered steel ones too.
