Redstar as you know I just got my C/R finally and I have been wanting an M98. Does anyone have them now without breaking the bank?

Thanks for the great info as always.

Century Arms has a Czech BRNO M98/22 in VG condition for about $99, they may even be on special this month for $89, I forget. They look alot like a Turk Mauser. Mine was in excelelnt shape, stock bore and blue. It was well worth the $90 I paid for it. It has an Arabic sight on it. The Czechs supplied alot of these to the Turks and they put on Arabic sights. pretty neat really. The bolt DID not match by the way, but the rifles in outstanding condition.

As far as a 100% German K98 with nazi markings, those are pretty expensive. Interordnance has some I think...

Then CDNN has the German K98's that were sold/captured by the Yugoslavs after the war in which they ground off the Nazi markings but in some instances they left alot of the Nazi proof marks. These are the rifles that whos2kno, neilwest, and myself are discussing on the threads by us in this forum. We got ours at Century for between $89-$100 but I don't think they have anymore. Great deal for a German product.

CDNN has these same rifles in varying conditions and with or without matching parts. They range from $70-$170. Someone just told me two days ago they just got a new batch in.

Redstar, thanks for the advice. Do you see anymore of the German Yugo K98's comming through in the future or should I grab a CDNN? Which grade do you recommend? I hate to go for the top of the line as I have so many C/R guns that I want.

Thanks again

1. Ive bought an Enfield, M-39, and Yugo SKS from them. Their prices are a bit over AIM or CENTURY but the have a good stock and theyre still affordable.

2. They have German K-98'S in stock.

It's hard to tell you to get a cheap one. :D I ordered some cheap stuff when I first started and always wound up buying something better. After you collect for awhile you're going to want to start getting primo condition stuff. At the very least try to get good condition matching bolt.
