What is the correct bayonet for No. I Mk. III* Enfield rifle?

Where can I find one and how much do they cost?
Does anyone have a photo of one to share?

Zou, look for the Pattern 1907 sword bayonet. An original will cost around $100. If you find one somewhere, post pics. I can identify the proofs for ya. :D

I'll post a pic of mine later.

100 dollars!

I'll try to find one for .25 cents somewhere. (thats how much I paid for my original Garand Bayo :))

I've seen them at shows for around $100, but the scabbards were in awful shape. I got mine in a Yahoo auction. Bayo + scabbard, my winning bid was $75 shipped. Can't beat that. :D

I had better clarify. The P1907 is the WWI bayonet, the P1907/42 was the WWII bayonet for the Mk.III* rifle. The P1907/42 is a modified P1907. The Brits cut down the P1907 blade from 17" to 12" in 1942. Makes it a bit easier to wield the rifle. You can find a P1907/42 for closer to $20.

:( You've got one of the bayos that always makes me sad. Sad because they cut down the nice long 1905 (?) pattern bayonets down to 10"s.
