I was shooting my SLR-95 today and besides having problems with a magazine no problems. There was a jam due to the way I cleared it I think, and there was a round in the chamber and another round feeding. Anyways I cleared it and no probems the rest of the day. Then when I got home I field stripped it and there was a live round all beat up in the back of the reciever. Around where the pistol grip screws in. I was just wondering if this has ever happened to you or if you had heard about this happening? NO one was hurt luckily.

There is a story about how the Hungarian military decided to test an AK's endurance. They had it mounted to a bench and kept feeding it loaded mags- they wanted to see when exactly it would quit altogether. The only thing they did do is run a cleaning patch through the bore every ten thousand rounds. When the rifle reached somewhere around 150,000 rounds it failed, then they put in a fresh mag- it failed again. When they opened the reciever cover there were about twenty shell casings literally smashed into the rear of the reciever and the only reason the rifle failed was because the shell casings were slowing the bolt down and would stop the bolt. The ejector tang had been just about sheared off but other than that the rifle still functioned.
