Very nice. Is that an Orion 7 rifle?

I am not sure. How I actually got the rifle (for free :)) is a long story, which will make for an interesting thread one day.

Wow, you've got to hook me up with one of those free deals :)

I don't have a M1 yet, but I do have a Rem 1903 Modified I guess I could show if anyone is interested.

Nice looking Garand Zouave. Is it stocked in light walnut? The rear handguard looks to be birch. What is the date of your barrel? The color of the parkerizing looks like my Win. rebuild from 65.

I'd post some pics but you've seen my 3 Garands already. I'll save the band width at this time.

My mom bought me & my brother M1 ammo pouches at a yardsale or Army & Navy store when we were kids. I have never given them much thought (and didn't know what they were for) until I saw them on Tapco's Garand icon; they didn't have the pouches for sale. So, I just did a search and found them at http://www.miltecharms.com/extras.htm . I know my Mom and I guarantee she paid no more than a dollar for each. Cool, I have C&R ammo pouches and didn't even know it!

BTW, that website has some really nice high-end C&R guns. The stocks have been totally refinished or replaced though.
