I just got a Polytech AKS-762 underfolder with a slant muzzle brake. When the brake is threaded on and the retaining pin in place, the brake does not seem to be parallel with the barrel, its canted to one side. The notch cut into the brake for the pin to fit in isnt in the middle where I think it should be so that the brake is on straight and not angled a little. Are all AK slant brakes designed like this or is this brake designed wrong? If it is where can I find a new polytech slant brake for my ak? Thanks.

From what I've read, your slant brake is installed properly. They aren't quite perpendicular so that the muzzle blast will compensate for the tendency of the gun to twist on a horizonal axis during full auto fire.

The twist on an AK bbl makes it cimb to the right when fired in full auto. The slanted break vents gasses to right and upward counteracting the rise, therefore somewhat diminishing the bbl climb.
